In the medical and health field, bibliometrics are significant and highly used to evaluate and measure the impact of research publications. It used to estimate the influence and the impact of the selected published paper has on the future research.

The UAE University realized the importance of developing the research capacity and innovation in areas of national and global importance, in addition to expand UAEU’s international accreditation and its academic programs. Therefore, the university encourage the research flow through providing many services to support the research.

The bibliometrics services at the NML aimed to coordinate the research activities and to assist the faculty, researchers to analyze and evaluate the research output to help them to reflect their actual works, the librarian assist them to find their missing papers and add them to their research ID such as ORCID and Scopus additionally to merge their duplicated profiles. The library using different data sources such as Scopus, Web of Science and Scival to provide the bibliometric’ s reports such as:

• To share with the researchers the list of local publications among the10% most cited publications globally.
• Journal Impact Factor measures the average number of citations for articles in a journal.
• h-index indicates the number of publications cited a specific number of times; that considered as one of the important criteria to promotes the faculty through their clinical research published in high - impact journals.
• To help identify the classification and categories of the publication quartile that reflect the high quality of the journals.
• Highlight the research output published by the college of medicine and health sciences (CMHS) by create a guide for the affiliated publications in monthly basis to including the current highest ranked medical journals based on JCR and Scopus Cite Score Metrics.
