The Institute of Public Health
The Institute of Public Health (IPH) contributes to all six years of the undergraduate MD program and offers two postgraduate programs. They are the MPH and PhD Programs in Public and Occupational Health. The IPH faculty members teach on other postgraduate courses including the Master’s of Medical Sciences, PhD programs in Biomedical Sciences and the professional Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
Faculty and staffs in the IPH have expertise in research methodology, epidemiology, biostatistics, public health and occupational and environmental health. There is a varied research activity including Diabetes and cardiovascular disease prevention, infectious diseases, maternal and child health, injury, smoking and ageing. Annually, faculty members and researcher at the IPH publish over 30 research articles in prestigious, international peer-reviewed journals.
The IPH collaborates with a range of stakeholders including other universities at home and abroad, the health authorities, local and national government departments, hospitals, clinics and industry.

The National Medical Library
The National Medical Library (NML) is the first medical library in the United Arab Emirates. The library is open to the public and provides current medical information, point of care tools, blended learning resources and information and research support services to medical students and health professionals in the community. Located at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, NML offers visitors a modern learning environment including access to top medical resources.

The Zayed Center for Health Sciences
The United Arab Emirates University, with the generous support of the Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahayan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, has established the Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Center for Health Sciences (ZCHS). The center was established to support and contribute to the UAEU's mission of becoming a world-class center for applied health research, with national and international outreach and innovation whilst preserving the unique values of the UAE. The researchers of ZCHS have a diverse range of backgrounds, including medicine, biology, chemistry, nutrition, information technology and engineering, making ZCHS well situated to drive forward innovation, research and practice in health. The center strives to build an international reputation and to forge formal links with other universities and institutions through equitable memoranda of understanding.
