Introduction
The Liaison Librarian plays a crucial role in connecting students and faculty with relevant library resources to support their education and learning at the National Medical Library. To effectively enhance scholarly communication, collaboration, and library effectiveness, the National Medical Library provides a Communications Librarian who caters to the faculty and library's educational, clinical, and research needs.
The Liaison Librarian assists students and faculty in navigating library collections and ensures access to high-quality academic resources for the medical community. They also work towards improving library services to meet the specific needs of the users.
The NML Liaison Librarian has introduced various services to departments such as scholarly communication, teaching and learning, research support, collections, and quality assurance.

1. Enhance communication and collaboration among faculty, students, and the library.
2. Communicate with users regarding collection resources and their research needs.
3. Promote library services and resources, including print and electronic collections in all medical departments.4. Collaborate and build partnerships in research and teaching.
5. Foster a close working relationship with faculty members.
6. Strengthen collaboration between liaison librarians and faculty members to promote research initiatives and information literacy.
